Product Description
SupraChem 6402 is a highly effective scale inhibitor / antifoulant, especially designed for scaling-control and fouling-inhibition in reverse-osmosis systems. Proper use of this product will increase the lifetime of mem-brane-elements and decreases in this way the opera-tion- and investment cost.
- Excellent control of scale inhibition of carbonate, sulfate and fluoride scales.
- Excellent hardness-stabilising effect against calcium sulfate, strontium sulfate, barium sulfate, silt, organics and hydroxides of iron and manganese
- Excellent calcium tolerance
- Effective over wide range of pH
- International potable water approvals
- Compatible with all of the leading RO membrans
- Compatible – Coagulants
- Certified under NSF/ANSI Standart 60 for drinking water production.

Application and Dose Level
SupraChem 6402 is an aqueous solution of an organic acid and as such is corrosive in its concentrated form. Corrosion resistant dosing equipment should therefore be used. Examples of suitable materials are 316L stainless steel, or plastics such as GRP, PVC and PE. The recommended injection point is into the feed water downstream of any filtration equipment and cartridge filters.
SupraChem 6402 is miscible with water in all proportions. It may be applied as the neat product, or as a solution in permeate. Minimum dosing solution strength of 10% w/w is recommended and typical dose rates are 1.0 to 6.0 mg/l. SupraChem 6402 should be dosed continuously and proportionately to the feed water flow, to maintain the
recommended dose level.
The dose level required is dependent on the quality of the feed water and the saturation indices of the various scale forming species present in the concentrated brine.
Proprietary computer software is used to calculate scaling indices and calculate optimum system recovery. Dose level projections and recommendations are available on request.
